The long-awaited “Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Exhibition” has finally landed in Hong Kong! Co-organized by Hong Kong’s entertainment experience company Incubase Studio, Toei Co., Ltd. and Medialink Group (2230.HK), the first overseas edition of the Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Exhibition will be held at Hong Kong’s anime culture hub INCUBASE Arena from September 28 to November 24. Showcasing iconic Kamen Riders from the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras, this is the largest-scale exhibition in the franchise’s history. First launched in Japan in 2022, the exhibition has now chosen Hong Kong as its first international stop — a thrilling moment for all local Kamen Rider fans!

To mark the occasion, the event featured opening remarks by Mr. Sion Yip, Founder and Managing Director of Incubase Studio and INCUBASE Arena. Several distinguished guests also joined the ceremony, including Mr. Kenichi Okada, Consul General of Japan in Hong Kong, Mr. Gen Mizoguchi, representative of Toei’s International Sales Department, and Ms. Lovinia Chiu, Chairperson of Medialink Group Limited. The spotlight, however, was on a very special guest from Japan — Nene Shida, who portrayed Kamen Rider HAKUBI in Kamen Rider GEATS. She greeted local fans in person and officiated the opening ceremony of the exhibition’s first overseas edition in Hong Kong! Gaining massive popularity for her role in Kamen Rider GEATS, Shida was met with roaring applause upon her appearance. She even performed her signature transformation move on stage, electrifying the crowd as she posed alongside five on-stage Kamen Riders!

Hong Kong-Exclusive Photo Zones and Highlight Exhibits from Japan

Following the spectacular opening ceremony, guests were given a preview tour. This overseas debut of the “Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary Exhibition” faithfully recreates the Japanese version while incorporating several Hong Kong-exclusive interactive photo spots. These include locations featuring iconic local landmarks and streetscapes where fans can pose as their favourite Riders alongside their vehicles. There’s also a special zone featuring Rider belts and props, where visitors can “transform” for photos. Among the most eye-catching exhibits are life-size 1:1 Kamen Rider figures, including Masked Rider No.1, V3, Kuuga, Ryuki, and more, over 30 Riders spanning the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras for fan photo ops.

Other highlights include replica TV props and costumes, and a display of Kamen Rider transformation belts — all shipped directly from Japan. The exhibition also features retrospectives and introductions to multiple generations of Kamen Riders, offering visitors a comprehensive understanding of the Kamen Rider universe. Don’t miss the popular stamp rally — stamp stations are placed throughout the venue for visitors to collect unique designs as souvenirs.

Exclusive Merch Sparks Collector Frenzy

One of the major draws for fans is the exhibition merchandise. This Hong Kong edition includes official goods imported from Japan, such as Kamen Rider acrylic stands, file folders, badges, stickers, and more. Even the Memorial Coin Set, which sold out during the early bird period, have been restocked — so don’t miss your chance to grab one!

Also available is the limited-edition Kamen Rider Octopus Card Set, themed around Kamen Rider No.1 and No.2. The set includes the themed Octopus Card, a collector’s box with serial number, a Kamen Rider scarf-style keychain, and a rotating metal tag (that can be attached to the keychain). Only 3,000 sets available worldwide! Additionally, there’s an on-site photo sticker booth where fans can snap with their favourite Riders.

Limited-Time Pop-Up Kamen Rider Café Debuts

In addition to the exhibition and merch, fans can enjoy the limited-time Kamen Rider-themed pop-up café. The café is decked out with various Kamen Rider elements, with each table accompanied by different Riders for a full-on immersive dining experience.

The café also offers a wide selection of Kamen Rider-themed food and drinks, cleverly inspired by different Rider eras and names. Dishes include the No.1 Belt Curry Cheese Omelette Rice, Reiwa Rider Popcorn Bucket, and the 50th Anniversary Kamen Rider Blind Box Cookie Set. Every item is not only tasty but also beautifully designed — perfect for snapping photos before digging in!

The drink menu features a variety of sodas, and with each soda purchase, fans receive a random blind-box coaster featuring exquisite double-sided Kamen Rider designs — a must-have collectible for fans.

Surprise Kamen Rider Meet & Greets

To give fans a chance to meet their heroes up close, the organizers will host surprise Kamen Rider meet & greets at the venue on an irregular basis. Details will be announced on Incubase Studio’s social media platforms, so stay tuned! Just like the official slogan for the exhibition says — “Who is the Kamen Rider you grew up with?” — don’t miss your chance to meet yours in person!
