Masked Rider Kuuga 25th Anniversary Exhibition

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the broadcast of “Masked Rider Kuuga”, the “Masked Rider Kuuga 25th Anniversary Exhibition” will lead audiences to once again feel that era that “began from zero”, landing in Hong Kong as the first stop of its overseas tour. This exhibition takes the background of the work’s birth and its production process as a starting point. Through valuable production materials, recreated classic scenes, and immersive displays, it deeply explores how “Masked Rider Kuuga” became the first Heisei Masked Rider, and laid a brand-new foundation for the entire tokusatsu generation.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

What to Expect

The exhibition revisits the birth of “Masked Rider Kuuga”, tracing the creative process from early character concepts and costume design to the development of its unique world-building. A wide range of valuable materials will be presented, including original design drafts, setting documents, and video footage. Together, these elements reveal how the hero who protects people’s smiles was gradually brought to life, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the creative journey behind Kuuga’s creation.

Striking three-dimensional displays and dramatic scene recreations bring to life the iconic moments of Kuuga’s many forms throughout the series. Large-scale statues combined with immersive spatial design recreate memorable battles and transformations, allowing visitors to feel as though they have stepped directly into Kuuga’s world and are witnessing his power and determination firsthand.

The exhibition also explores the Grongi, the formidable enemy organization that plays an essential role in the story. Visitors are invited to examine the deeper meaning and narrative significance behind these mysterious monsters. Newly created monster visuals produced for the 25th anniversary will also be unveiled, with their three-dimensional forms revealed to the public for the first time, delivering a powerful and unprecedented visual experience.

From the birth of a hero to the recreation of legendary battles and a renewed interpretation of its enemies, the Kuuga Exhibition is more than a retrospective display—it is an immersive journey that invites visitors to rediscover the spirit and legacy of “Masked Rider Kuuga”.
