Jointly organized by Hong Kong’s entertainment experience production company INCUBASE Studio, animation studio MAPPA and Medialink Group (2230.HK), the first major anime exhibition of 2025 – Chainsaw Man Animation Exhibition – Hong Kong – will take place from January 17 to March 16 at the newly relocated INCUBASE Arena in Mong Kok’s Chong Hing Square! This will be the first overseas showing of the exhibition following its run in Japan, and also marks the first anime exhibition to be held at the new INCUBASE Arena, making it a must-see event for anime fans in Hong Kong in early 2025. Spanning both Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day, it’s the perfect date with your favorite people!

A Star-Studded Opening Ceremony

The opening day featured a remarkable guest lineup, including Mr. Sion Yip, Founder and CEO of INCUBASE Studio and INCUBASE Arena, Ms. Lovinia Chiu, Chairman of Medialink Group Limited, Mr. Yoshitaka Hirose, Representative of MAPPA, and very special guest Kikunosuke Toya, the popular Japanese voice actor of Denji, who greeted local fans using Denji’s voice!

As a rising star in the Japanese voice acting industry, Kikunosuke Toya was awarded “Best New Actor” at the 18th Seiyu Awards in 2024. His appearance was met with thunderous applause the moment he stepped on stage. Keep an eye on the INCUBASE Arena’s social media platforms, as fans may have a chance to win an autographed poster from him! Another beloved guest also made a surprise appearance – Pochita, the adorable and popular character from Chainsaw Man, who joined the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Together, Toya and Pochita brought the atmosphere to a peak of excitement.

INCUBASE Arena Reopens in Mong Kok with Over 20,000 Square Feet of Anime Space

The exhibition will be held at the newly relocated INCUBASE Arena in Chong Hing Square, Mong Kok. This brand-new anime experience hub spans more than 20,000 square feet, occupying two floors of the mall (B1 and B2). The B2 level is dedicated entirely to the exhibition area, while B1 is home to a variety of brand-new facilities including an expanded INCUShop, which features even more limited-edition goods for anime fans to shop. There is also a card battle zone for TCG enthusiasts to host regular matches, a venue-exclusive pop-up space showcasing themed merchandise and photo spots, the first Korean-imported custom photo card machine in Hong Kong, photo sticker booths with Chainsaw Man-themed frames, and a gachapon corner offering various capsule toys for blind-box lovers. The F&B zone will also be transformed with anime themes and serve original food and beverage creations, making the venue a new cultural and entertainment hotspot in the district.

Authentic Japan Exhibition + Hong Kong Exclusive Areas

The Chainsaw Man Animation Exhibition – Hong Kong faithfully recreates the richness of the original Japan exhibition while introducing exclusive zones designed especially for Hong Kong fans, along with brand-new food and drink designs. Even fans who attended the Japan version will find plenty of surprises here! The entire exhibition space is designed and decorated to mirror episodes 1 through 12 of the anime, delivering a fully immersive Chainsaw Man experience. Visitors will find life-size 1:1 figures of Denji, Makima, Power, and Aki, perfect for photos ops. The exhibition also features reproduction keyframes, storyboards, and character reference materials supervised by MAPPA, along with related videos and behind-the-scenes footage. There’s also a Hong Kong-exclusive photo zone where fans can create unforgettable memories. At the end of the exhibition, fans will arrive at a themed pop-up store, where they can purchase their favourite Chainsaw Man merchandise.

Located on the B1 level, the F&B zone offers a lineup of Chainsaw Man-themed light meals and drinks. Among the seven themed snacks are the “Makima Japanese Udon Set” inspired by the first meal between Makima and Denji, the “Denji Cheese Bolognese Burger” topped with a pull-tab chainsaw design, and the “Aki Devil Honey Pancake” decorated with sugar paper in the shape of the Fox Devil. Some snacks even come with collectible character bookmarks. In addition, there are five character-printed coffees and seven soda drinks, with each soda purchase giving fans a chance to draw one of five random character coasters. This immersive experience lets fans savor every moment of the exhibition – both visually and tastefully.

About the TV Anime Chainsaw Man
Chainsaw Man is based on the manga serialized on Shonen Jump+ (Shueisha), with over 29 million copies in circulation. The anime is produced by MAPPA, the studio behind Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan: The Final Season.

The story follows Denji, a young devil hunter who lives with the Chainsaw Devil Pochita. To repay the debt left by his father, Denji lives in poverty, only to be betrayed and killed. As he loses consciousness, he forms a contract with Pochita and is resurrected as Chainsaw Man, a being with a devil’s heart.
